The Chill of November

The leaves are off the walnut tree, and it is COLD. Winter is here and we've experienced the first snow of the season. Hinckley refers to it as "NOoooo!" or at least that is what we think he is referring to as he points outside at the icy landscape. 


Hinckley has been sleeping well throughout the night, and eats pretty good too. He is obsessed with his bottle, and is really cute wandering around the house with it and sometimes doing squats (see video). Church is still quite the experience, and we are getting excited for his nursery eligibility in a couple of months.  



One shoe brown and one shoe black

I am doing well, and staying very busy. On Friday last week I was reading H a good night story when I looked down at my feet and realized I had spent the entire day with one brown shoe and one black shoe. I was flabbergasted! How had I spent the whole day and never noticed? Kassie and I had a good laugh.

We are excited about the upcoming holidays!

It is that time of day when the house is quiet, the table is half covered in pots, pans, and tuber ware with food scattered across. The car isn’t in the garage and the dog lies sleeping on the blue blanket. The sun lies somewhere back there, behind the cloud over those mountains. It makes some nice gold colors on the rocky face of the mountains outside of the window. Almost There!

Tomorrow is our baby's due date! We don't think he will come tomorrow, but one never knows. Here are some pics from this week. School is going pretty well for me, though I transition to writing/reading from doing math for the past two weeks so I am a little nervous about that. The view from the bus just before I get off and start teaching for the day. Usually I am barely awake at this point.  Awesome panorama of our classroom. It has taken a lot of work to get all this stuff up, but it could still use lots more! August 3, 2025 The last three weeks have been a blur as we've had lots of extended family events and excursions.
