It has been way too long since I have posted anything. I have resolved to begin writing more - if not here, at least somewhere. Tonight I wanted to just share 4 points from President Hinckley that I learned that can help a marriage. 1) Respect. He stated that as we respect each other and strive to see one another as God sees us than happiness is more likely. When it becomes less about me and more about you. 2) Soft speech. Referencing the psalm about the soft answer turning away wrath, Pres Hinckley encouraged couples to be aware that they don't raise their voices with each other or children. Keep control and discipline and speak as God does, for his voice was not in the earthquake or the whirlwind - but was a still small voice. 3) Honesty with God and others. The point of paying an honest tithe and being understanding and patient with funds is important. If the 10 percent is what comes first than it is easier for a couple to work through the other expenses. 4) Pray as a family. Wh...
