Hinckley's Birthday

Hinckley turned one on Saturday! In celebration, we went swimming at the Provo Rec Center. Hinckley had a great time staring at all the people. He enjoyed the water, too. Post swimming joy That evening we opened presents and had cake. It was Hinckley's first time having any sort of dessert or treat. He tried to stuff the whole piece of cake in his mouth at once. He also discovered that frosting is fun to squish in his hand. His excitement was enough to make anyone happy! I can't believe our little baby is one now! This was as much a celebration for us, his parents, as it was for him because we managed to stay alive and keep him alive for a year. In that time, there have been many diaper changes, temper tantrums, and sleepless nights. Many tears were shed, many mistakes were made, and frustration was felt by all. Kassie did an amazing job packing everything and making the transition smooth. We are back in Provo! The past couple of weeks have been crazy. Packing, moving, reunion, unpacking, etc. Kassie and Hinckley left Tulsa on June 13th and drove to the Burnside home in Colorado Springs. Kassie's mom came out to help with the final packing and to entertain H during the drive. We are so appreciative of her help! The drive went fairly smoothly, considering there were some direction problems and we didn't have a working GPS, and we had a wiggly baby along for the ride. On the way, we stopped in Wichita, Kansas, to visit one of Kassie's college friend, Karalee, and her baby. The Riverside EQ showed amazing packing skills in helping Greg fit everything in this little UHaul Audios Tulsa Greg packed the U-haul truck on the 14th and made his drive to the Springs.
