January 4, 2026 Happy New Year! Kassie went back to work for a couple of days this week, and I spent time with the kids doing a variety of activities. One day, Addie and I took Desmond to PetSmart and DI. Desmond was completely delighted by the fish and animal pictures at PetSmart, and then happily rode a trike around the back of DI while Addie picked out a new office chair for her room, which she was very excited about. Desmond’s dramatic full-body nods and head shakes when he agrees or disagrees with something continue to be one of the cutest things he does—often with his eyes closed and full commitment. Addie has enjoyed extra time with family and friends this week. She had a fun night at Mom and Dad’s with Sadie, Kate, and Kelly, and did well on our various outings. She also came along to Welfare Square, where the tour was deemed worth it thanks to the free BYU chocolate milk sample at the end. November 2025

November 30, 2025 We had a really nice Thanksgiving break, spending time with cousins as well as Nana and Grandpa in Provo. The boys especially loved riding bikes in Provo Canyon, which was a big hit. There were some cute pine cone turkey crafts, plenty of amazing food, and lots of good company. I had a great time swimming with the three older kids at the Lehi Rec Center, and a few of us went to see the new Wicked movie — which we all agreed was “mid,” not as good as the first.
